Travel and Tourism—Six Places of Interest
Is there anything more exciting than setting out on a new adventure in travel and tourism? Where would you like to go? If you didn’t have a response to that question then let the following list of fun travel spots inspire you.
1. Australia
Even if you are living in Australia this doesn’t mean that you have seen the entire country. Who doesn’t want to see the famous Opera House in Sydney? You also have the Great Barrier Reef to explore as well as numerous national parks. The Gold Coast offers spectacular beaches, and Tasmania has breathtaking views of lagoons and mountains not to mention a plethora of wildlife. There is of course no end to the adventures here, from windsurfing to spelunking, learning about aboriginal cultures to whale watching.
2. The U.K.
As many as 300,000 Australians live in London alone. Not only are there numerous tourist spots in the United Kingdom, but the nation is also a good starting point for travelling around Europe. Many Australians actually have roots back in England. It’s a country we have heard about our entire life, and yet, perhaps never seen personally.
3. The United States of America
The land of excess has many exceptional sites, whether referring to Times Square in New York, the endless casinos and shows in Las Vegas, not to mention the nearby Grand Canyon in Utah. Hollywood in California is on most people’s lists, as are the beaches and countless theme parks of Florida as well as the majestic Rocky Mountains in Colorado.
4. Thailand
Bangkok is a must see for many people for its amazing night life. Check out Buddhist temples, dine on the finest Thai cuisine, and soak up their friendly hospitality. Be sure to see the Floating Market, and walk the sandy beaches of Maya Bay.
5. Ireland
There is more to travel and tourism in Ireland then just the fantastic beers and amazing pubs. Visit Claire and see the Cliffs of Moher for an unforgettable view. From there you can check out the Giant’s Causeway, columns jetting right out of the sea. Of course no trip to Ireland is complete without kissing the Blarney stone, which is said to give you the “gift of gab”.
6. Africa
Where else can you see free-roaming lions, rhinos, hyenas, giraffes, hippopotamuses, cheetahs, and even great white sharks all in one place? The culture in Africa is alive like nowhere else on the planet. The languages, the cuisine and the arts are sure to impress. The Karnak Temple and the Egyptian pyramids in Giza, the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, Sossusvlei in the Namib Desert, and Mt. Kilimanjaro are some of the reasons why travel and tourism are so popular in Africa.
